Brighton Pride bosses will be charged for policing
0Organisers of this year’s Pride will be charged by Sussex Police for its services.
In previous years the force has not billed organisers of the LGBT festival for policing its parade and the party in Preston Park.
However following the change to this year’s format, with partygoers paying up to £17.50 for entry to the event on August 13, force bosses have confirmed they will charge for “some aspects” of policing.
Police and Pride organisers were last night unable to provide figures on how much the operation would cost as it is unclear how many stewards Pride will have on the day.
