South Portland ME Housing Report: 2nd Quarter 2011

In the 2nd quarter of 2011 the real estate market for homes and condos in South Portland, ME has decreased in median price to 193K, a by 10% decline. Transaction volume decreased by 37%; although 99 homes were sold in the second quarter last year, 62 homes sold this quarter. Home sales have been lower this quarter but this reflects the success of last year’s tax credit program for home buyers – transaction volumes are more similar to the 2009 year.
