Sponsors get taste for Sussex food and drink awards
0A competition for food and drink businesses has announced its main sponsors.
Southern Co-operative will sponsor the Sussex Food Producer of the Year award in the Sussex Food and Drink Awards 2011/12.
The regional society is a member of the Cooperative Group and has five stores in Sussex, including South Road in Haywards Heath and Hawthorn Road in Bognor.
Other sponsors of the awards include Mayo Wynne Baxter solicitors, sponsoring Best Sussex Eating Experience, Sussex accountants Knill James, sponsoring Sussex Farmer of the Year, and Harveys Brewery, sponsoring Best Sussex Farmers Market.
The organiser of the event, Natural PR, said it is now looking for a sponsor for the Sussex Young Chef Category. The awards open for votes on June 9 at www.sussexfoodawards.biz.
The awards ceremony will take place on January 26 next year at a venue to be announced soon.
Natural PR boss Paula Seager said: “We want a special business or organisation to support and be associated with our Sussex Young Chef Category.”
